# PanoCool in ChatGPT and Claude [← Back to the PanoCool Knowledge Base](https://pano.cool/docs/panocool_knowledge_base.txt) Connect PanoCool to ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant, then turn 360° photos into a tour you can share and find your tours, without leaving the conversation. The assistant works in your own PanoCool account, and everything else about a tour is done in [Virtual Tour Studio](https://pano.cool/docs/virtual_tour_studio.txt). ## Links - Privacy policy: https://pano.cool/privacy-policies - Terms of use: https://pano.cool/terms-of-use - Support: support@pano.cool or https://pano.cool/contact - Server address for assistants that connect by URL: `https://api2.pano.cool/mcp/panocool` ## What you can do - **Create a tour from 360° photos.** Attach the photos in ChatGPT, or give the assistant links to them. PanoCool creates a tour with one scene per photo, in the order given, and replies with its link and a Virtual Tour Studio link for editing. - **List and find your tours.** Ask for your latest tours, or for one by name, to get its link again. Each result says whether anyone with the link can open it, whether it needs a password, or whether it isn’t published. ## Connect PanoCool The first time the assistant uses PanoCool, you sign in to your PanoCool account and allow it to create tours and see your tours. The sign-in page shows the account you’re signed in with and the site you return to, such as chatgpt.com or claude.ai. ### ChatGPT 1. Open **Plugins** in the ChatGPT sidebar and search for **PanoCool**. 2. Select **Install plugin**, then **Connect**, and sign in to PanoCool. 3. In a conversation, mention **@PanoCool** or just ask for a tour. ### Claude 1. In Claude on the web, desktop or mobile, open **Settings → Connectors**, browse the directory and find **PanoCool**. 2. Select **Connect** and sign in to PanoCool. 3. In Claude Code, add it by URL instead: `claude mcp add --transport http panocool https://api2.pano.cool/mcp/panocool`, then run `/mcp` to sign in. ### Other assistants Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth can connect to `https://api2.pano.cool/mcp/panocool`. ## Example requests - “Turn the 360° photos I attached into a PanoCool tour called Beach House and give me the link.” - “Create a PanoCool tour from these photos: https://example.com/living-room.jpg https://example.com/garden.jpg” - “Show my PanoCool tours.” - “What’s the link to my PanoCool tour called Beach House?” ## Photos that work - JPEG photos only, up to 20 per tour and 100 MB each. - 2:1 equirectangular photos from 360° cameras open as full 360° spheres. Wider partial panoramas, and photos at least 1.5 times as wide as they are tall, work too. - Export other formats as JPEG first: Insta360 `.insp` and RAW `.dng` files from the camera’s app, iPhone HEIC photos by sharing or exporting them as JPEG. - A photo link has to open the image file itself over `https://`. A sharing page that shows the photo, such as a cloud drive preview, isn’t the file. In assistants that don’t pass attached files to PanoCool, such as Claude, use photo links. ## Your tours and your data - Tours created from an assistant are published right away: anyone with the link can view them. To add a password or take a tour offline, open it in Virtual Tour Studio. - Location data stored in a photo is kept with its scene, so people who open the tour may see where it was taken. Remove it from the photo first if you don’t want to share it. - PanoCool receives only what a request needs: the photos or photo links, and the tour name and description. Your conversation isn’t sent to PanoCool. - Photos count toward your account’s storage, like photos you upload in PanoCool. - To disconnect, remove PanoCool in the assistant’s settings. What PanoCool keeps, and for how long, is in the privacy policy at https://pano.cool/privacy-policies on the PanoCool site. ## What to do in Virtual Tour Studio Assistants create tours and find them. These changes are made in Virtual Tour Studio, at the Studio link the assistant gives you: - Themes, hotspots, floor plans, menus and background music - Scene names, order, starting view and thumbnails - Passwords, collaborators, custom domains and white label - Analytics, exports, and deleting a tour ## Troubleshooting - **“This file isn’t a JPEG photo”**: export the photo as JPEG and try again. - **“This photo is too narrow for a panorama”**: the photo must be at least 1.5 times as wide as it is tall. - **“Couldn’t download this photo”**: the link isn’t public, or it opens a web page instead of the image file. Open the link in a private browser window to check. - **“These photos don’t fit in the storage left”**: open https://pano.cool/account to see your storage and free up space. - **The assistant asks you to sign in again**: access ends 30 days after it was last used. Sign in to reconnect. - **The tour link says the tour isn’t available**: the tour was taken offline or deleted in Virtual Tour Studio. Ask the assistant to list your tours to see their status.
