When published photos appear on Google Maps
- Photos show on Google Maps once Google has processed them.
- The arrows between connected photos show up once Google approves them. That usually takes a few days, sometimes longer. Floor levels can also take a few days.
- The Published photos tab shows each photo’s status from Google, such as
PUBLISHEDorREJECTED_UNKNOWN, and a View in Google Maps link once Google provides one. Refresh checks again. - Google restricts posting on some places: long term, places that aren’t open to the public or that keep attracting off-topic posts, such as schools, police stations and prisons; short term, any place after a spike in off-topic or offensive posts. Photos linked to a restricted place may be rejected or not show up there. Google’s posting restrictions: https://support.google.com/contributionpolicy/answer/13036130
