Link-preview image
The picture your tour’s link shows is made from your tour’s own photos: by default, a view of your first scene in the Bold design, with the tour’s name, “View in 360°”, and a QR code that opens the tour. Its words are big enough to read in a small preview, and they stay above the title that X lays over the bottom of the picture.
- How to: in the editor, click the Metatags tab. The large preview under Image is what your link shows.
- Choose a design: pick one of the 13 Snapshot designs under the preview. Show all templates shows all of them. Designs with several photos use your next scenes; a tour with fewer scenes shows its first scene from other angles.
- Kept up to date: the picture is made again a few seconds after you change what it shows, such as the first scene, its default view, the tour’s name, or the SEO title. It is made while the tour is open in the editor, once its photos have finished uploading.
- Your own image: click Your own image to upload a picture instead (up to 3MB; 1200 × 630 works best), or Capture current view to use the view you’re looking at in a photo scene. Upload a different image… replaces it. Pick a design again to switch back.
- Password-protected tours: the link shows a picture only once you pick a design or your own image, so your photos stay hidden until visitors enter the password. Until then, it shows PanoCool’s image.
- Old previews: Facebook and X keep a copy of a link’s preview for a while after you change it. To refresh it on Facebook, paste the link into Facebook’s Sharing Debugger and click Scrape Again.
