A Theme is the interface used to interact with your virtual tour (panorama view, menus, logo, controls, etc.). PanoCool provides various themes for different use cases: general, hotel, real estate, construction, resort, and more. Some themes are available only for subscribed users.

How to: in the editor, click the Theme tab. Its panel has:

  • Browse themes: choose another theme (see “Selecting Another Theme” below).
  • Theme styles: colors and typography (font).
  • Component Library: add a Text box or a Mini bar to the tour (Super Cool).

The panel has no logo, button or menu settings. While the Theme tab is open, the tour shows the theme’s own parts, and you change each one by clicking it on the tour: the logo (see Change or hide the logo), the buttons, the menus and the map (see Hide the map).

Menu Management:

  • Add new menu items
  • Edit or remove existing items
  • Each menu item can be assigned an action, such as:
  • Load a scene
  • Open a link
  • Open a popup
  • Toggle background music
  • Open a photo gallery
  • Open a map view (Mapbox)
  • Open a floor plan
  • Selecting Another Theme
  • Click Browse themes, then click a theme to see its details
  • Click Use this theme to apply it
    ⚠️ Note: Switching themes keeps your menus, logo, text boxes and font, even ones the new theme can’t show; those come back when you switch back. The colors (and a block layout theme’s layout) change to the new theme’s. You can undo right after.

Tutorials:

Themes show the PanoCool logo on the tour until you change it. It’s the PanoCool mark visitors see on a finished tour, so people often call it the PanoCool watermark. You change it on the tour itself, not in the Theme tab’s panel (Theme styles and Component Library have no logo option).

How to:

  1. In the editor, click the Theme tab.
  2. Click the logo on the tour: top left in Basic, Simpli, Clean and Spatial, top right in Slide Menu 1, and at the top of the side menu in Slide Menu 2 (if the menu is closed, open it with the arrow button at the bottom left).
  3. In the panel that opens:
    • Display logo: switch it off to hide the logo from visitors. A hidden logo stays faded in the editor, so you can click it again to bring it back.
    • Change image: upload your own logo (JPG, PNG, SVG, WebP or GIF).
    • Image size: the logo’s width, from 20 to 800 px.
    • Open link: the address the logo opens when visitors click it, and New Tab (Yes or No).
  4. Click Save.
  • Changing or hiding the logo needs the Cool or Super Cool plan. On Hobby the panel says “This feature only available for subscribed users”, with an Upgrade now! link.
  • Each project has its own logo, and switching themes keeps it.
  • SiteSync has no logo. In a block layout theme, such as Oceania Side Menu, the logo is an image block: click it on the tour or in Layers, then use Upload image to replace it, or the eye icon next to it in Layers to hide it, and click Save.

Other PanoCool marks have settings of their own:

  • Password page: Share › Password Protection › Advanced options (Super Cool). See Private Password Protection.
  • QR codes: Logo in the middle in Share › QR Code. See QR code.
  • Photos saved with Snapshot or Download photo: the “Created on PANOCOOL” Watermark option. See Snapshot.
  • Photos published to Google Street View: the Watermark option of Street View Publisher. See Watermark behavior.

Hide the map

How to: in the editor, open the Theme tab, click the Map button on the tour, then click Hide. Visitors no longer see the map; Unhide brings it back.

  • This works in the Basic and Simpli themes. In SiteSync, click Hide map in the theme’s toolbar. In a theme with a menu, remove the menu item that opens a map view.
  • To keep the map but take a scene off it, click Customize Map instead and click Remove from map next to that scene. Scenes come off one at a time.
